Christmas Shoebox Appeal
This Christmas, Nesta are delighted once again to be supporting the ICHH (Inner City Helping Homeless) shoebox appeal.
ICHH is a Dublin volunteer group who are appealing to families and individuals across Ireland to fill a shoebox with some basic essentials and little comforts for the homeless. These items (we often take for granted) will make a small but important difference to the many homeless in Dublin this festive season.
Each of the 4 Nesta branches will be collecting and storing Shoeboxes for the homeless and delivering them to ICHH for distribution to Dublin’s rough sleepers and homeless families living in temporary accommodation across the city.
We are asking all our family and friends, customers and suppliers to get involved and drop in a shoebox for those less fortunate than us this Christmas :
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
1. Pick a shoebox and mark it Male or Female
2. Fill the shoebox with essentials such as socks, underwear, hats, scarves, gloves, sweets, chocolate and toiletries.
*No aerosols, perfumes, aftershaves, mouthwash or hand sanitiser
3. Drop your shoebox to any Nesta Storage Branch in Deansgrange, Kylemore, Sandyford or Santry by 3rd December
4. Nesta will deliver to Inner City Helping Homeless Office. For queries, contact Aoife on email along@nesta.ie or call 01-6426100.
5. It would be nice to wrap the box up in some festive wrapping paper, but make sure to wrap the lid and the box separately so that the contents can be double-checked.
